On December 22, 2017, The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was signed into law. Tax reform has been a key priority of Congress and President Trump and passage of this bill represents the most significant changes to the US tax system since the Tax Reform Act of 1986. As a step towards tax simplification, many changes to individual and business taxation have been implemented. Rita Meouchy, CPA
Rita Meouchy is a CPA specializing in the taxation of individuals, sole proprietors, expatriates, and foreign nationals. After 17+ years with Deloitte and KPMG, she set up her own practice in 2016.
In addition to US income tax preparation, she has provided cross border tax compliance; tax planning for international assignments; and Global Mobility Co-sourcing for clients.
In between her years at KPMG and Deloitte, Rita worked as the Senior Manager International HR Operations with Lockheed Martin, where she managed Lockheed Martin’s Expatriate Tax Program, including cost estimation of expatriate assignment-related costs; managed payroll delivery to UK local national population; and coordinated HR operations support for local nationals in Asia Pacific and EMEA.
Rita is originally from the East Coast and moved to Los Angeles 3 years ago. She’s had short term assignments to Asia and EMEA. She has been a City Club member since 2015.
Chris Aprahamian, CPA
Chris specializes in taxation for individuals, corporations, LLC's & rental property owners. He is also skilled in resolving IRS issues and negotiating tax debt with the IRS & FTB.
In his free time he likes to travel, read and run. Chris was born and raised in the South Bay and has lived in Downtown Los Angeles since August of 2016.
